Trainex Go — a training platform built and shipped end to end

A cohort training app for institutes and bootcamps — courses, batches, rubric grading and progress tracking in one native app, built by the same team that runs Akvega's marketing work.

The problem

Training institutes and bootcamps running cohort-based courses default to a patchwork of WhatsApp groups, Google Drive folders and spreadsheets. Trainees lose track of what is due, trainers spend more time chasing submissions than teaching, and nobody has one place to see who is behind.

What was built

  • Courses built once as modules of tasks, resources and quizzes, then assigned to a batch rather than person by person
  • Four roles out of the box — Super Admin, Admin, Trainer, Trainee — with sign-up and invite-code approval flows
  • Rubric-graded assignments with file and link submissions
  • In-module Q&A, so questions stay attached to the material instead of buried in a chat
  • Push notifications, a calendar and an automated alert engine for overdue work and pending reviews
  • Admin analytics, CSV exports and audit logs
  • Offline mode: cached course content keeps working without a connection

Watch it

Trainex Go's own launch promo — a 45-second walkthrough of the app.

See it

  • The trainee dashboard, showing a batch's overall progress, a day streak, and the next module to continue
  • The learning tab, showing a course's modules in order with which ones are complete, in progress or still locked
  • The in-module discussion thread, with a trainee question and threaded replies from a trainer and another trainee

Stack

  • Flutter (iOS, Android, web and desktop from one codebase)
  • Supabase — Postgres, auth, storage, realtime, edge functions
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging for push
  • Resend for transactional email

Current status

No client brief and no external deadline — Trainex Go is proof of what the team ships when it is building for itself.
