What does product design with Akvega actually involve?

Akvega’s product design covers research, flows, interface systems and clickable prototypes for web and mobile products. The work happens in Figma and is handed over as components and tokens rather than a folder of screenshots, because the engineers who build it sit on the same team. Design is tested against real data, real devices and the people who use it.

Deliverables

  • User research
  • Wireframes and flows
  • Interface systems
  • Prototypes
  • User research

Interviews, task observation and a read of your analytics and support tickets, so the design solves the problem people actually have rather than the one in the brief.

  • Wireframes and flows

Every path a user can take, drawn before it is styled. Edge cases, errors and empty states are designed here, where they are cheap.

  • Interface system

Colour, type, spacing and components as Figma variables and tokens, so the product stays coherent as it grows and engineers get named values rather than measurements off a screenshot.

  • Clickable prototype

A Figma prototype you can put in front of customers, investors or your own team before a line of code is written.

  • Handover engineers can build from

Components mapped to code, tokens exported, states and interactions documented. Because the engineers are on the same team, the handover is a conversation, not a document.

How it runs

4 stages, in this order.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

A paid diagnostic of your current product, brand and design consistency, returned within 1 to 2 working days with every finding priced.

  2. 02

    Research and flows

Talk to the people who use the product, map the flows, and agree what is in scope before anything is styled.

  3. 03

    Design in cycles

Screens, components and the prototype in short visible cycles, reviewed with you as they land. Progress you can check on a Tuesday.

  4. 04

    Hand over and build

Tokens and components handed to engineering, or built by Akvega’s own engineers when the build is also in scope.

Questions about product design.

01What does Akvega’s product design service include?

Akvega’s product design service includes user research, wireframes and flows, an interface system of components and tokens, and a clickable Figma prototype, handed over in a form engineers can build from. It covers web and mobile products, new or existing, and is scoped in the diagnostic.

02What is the difference between UI and UX design?

UX design decides what the product does and how a person moves through it: research, flows, structure. UI design decides how each screen looks and behaves: layout, type, colour, components. Akvega does both as one service because a beautiful screen in a broken flow still loses the customer.

03How much does product design cost with Akvega?

Product design is quoted from the diagnostic; there is no list price. The number moves with the number of flows and screens, the depth of research, and the scope of the design system. You get a fixed quote for a defined piece of work, not a range that grows.

04How does a product design project with Akvega start?

With a paid diagnostic. Akvega audits your current product, website, design consistency, Google Business Profile and social accounts, and returns the findings within 1 to 2 working days with the cost to fix each item. The findings are yours whether or not you continue.

05Which design tools does Akvega use for product design?

Figma, for everything from wireframes to the final component library and prototype. Variables and tokens are set up in Figma so the values engineers read match the values designers set. You get the Figma files in your own workspace, not a viewer link to Akvega’s.

06What does the design handover to engineers look like?

Components and tokens, not screenshots. Akvega hands over a Figma library with named colour, type and spacing tokens, every component in every state, and documented interactions, so a React, Next.js or Flutter engineer builds from values rather than measuring pixels. When Akvega also builds, the handover is a conversation.

07Can you design for our own engineering team?

Yes. Akvega can design a product your in-house or external engineers build, working on your tools and cadence. The handover is the same components-and-tokens library either way, and Akvega stays available during the build to answer the questions a static file cannot.

08Do you do user research, or just the screens?

Both, and research first. Akvega interviews the people who will use the product, watches them do the task today, and reads the analytics and support history, then designs from that. Research depth is scoped in the diagnostic, so it matches the decision you are trying to make.

09Can Akvega redesign an existing app or website?

Yes. A redesign starts with the diagnostic reading the current product, its analytics and where users drop off, so the work fixes what is losing customers rather than restyling what already works. Akvega then rebuilds the interface as a system the product can keep growing on.

10Do you offer product design services in Hyderabad?

Yes. Akvega is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and designs products for businesses across Hyderabad, wider India and the US. Research sessions can run in person across the city, in English, Telugu or Hindi, which matters when the product’s users speak those languages too.

11Who owns the Figma files and design system afterwards?

You do, from day one. The Figma files, component library, tokens and research notes live in a workspace in your name, not Akvega’s. If you take the design to another team, nothing has to be handed back because nothing was ever held.

12Is product design the same as branding?

No. Branding is the identity: logo, voice and visual language across every surface. Product design is the interface people use: flows, screens, components and states. Akvega offers both, and when a product needs an identity first, the branding work feeds the design system rather than competing with it.

13Are Akvega’s designs built to accessibility standards?

Yes. Akvega designs to WCAG AA: contrast that passes, labelled fields, visible focus states, error states that do not rely on colour alone, and touch targets sized for thumbs. An accessible interface is also the one that works on a cheap phone in sunlight.
